What is Securus?

Securus is a fast, easy and private cryptocurrency which allows you to send money to friends and businesses.
One of Securus goals is to make things as simple and accessible as possible for everyday people, creating a cryptocurrency which is inviting, fun and friendly.
Below is basic checklist of tasks you have to do to get started with Securus.

There are multiple different types of wallets you can choose to use for Securus: paper wallets, CLI wallets, and GUI wallets.
We recommend making a paper wallet so that you can start receiving funds, and later import them into a GUI or CLI wallet.

The main purpose of a paper wallet is to quickly create a wallet to start receiving funds. You will not be able to spend or send your funds to other people until you set up a CLI or GUI Wallet.

Mining is essentially the process of using your computer to help verify and secure a cryptocurrency network, in our case, it is the Securus network.
By doing this, you will be rewarded with some Securus.
Originally Bitcoin was mined and transacted with standard hardware.
We want to bring back this basic user experience to the Securus community.

Please note: Unfortunately because of some bad people using mining software in malware, most antivirus software will detect the programs below as unsafe.

Orangeminer is a unified miner, which means the same program will be used to mine with both your CPU and your GPU (NVIDIA only). It will automatically detect your hardware and adjust the settings accordingly.

this miner will be used to mine with both your CPU and your GPU (NVIDIA and AMD)..

Solo Mining
Solo Mining is where you, alone, try to solve a block. It is extremely difficult and not recommended. If you'd like to give it a hand try securusminer in corefiles

Unless you want to solo mine, which is unfeasible for many people, you will need a pool to mine towards. You can use the official securus pool to support development.

A public node, or public daemon is a computer that a user can connect to safely and sync their wallet without downloading the whole blockchain at home. The node operator doesn’t know which wallet or who is connecting, and they also can’t see balances or passwords.
In the beginning, community members ran public nodes for free. This is a great thing to do for the community, but as with all things that are free, they do have a cost for someone, and can often be congested. Free nodes will still be allowed if someone wants to run one, but you can now set a per-transaction fee quite easily, for people who connect to your node. This guide will help you get a public node set up, and the fee is up to you.

Free nodes can sometimes be busy because they get lots of users connecting to them. Nodes that charge a fee can sometimes offer faster service because not many are willing to pay a fee to send a transaction. A free market is emerging to allow nodes to set their own prices and let the community use the nodes that fit best for them. Nobody can steal your password or use your information by running a public node, and you will not harm someone else if your node goes down. No worries!

What you'll need:
1. A computer with an IP address that doesn’t change. If you’re running it from home and use cable or DSL internet, you’re probably already set up with a static IP. (Free Amazon servers or Google Cloud servers are perfect for this)
2. A Securus wallet to collect your earnings.
3. (optional) to get listed the node in the GUI Wallet, you need 10000 SCR
